Ship visitation in June 2024
Pastoral Care for Seafarers Section, Archdiocese of Bangkok
4 June 2024 Mr. Piyamit Suksut and staffs of the Pastoral Care for Seafarers Section, Archdiocese of Bangkok, went to visit ships in the Phra Pradaeng harbor and boarded the M/V HUA FU 207 (Reefer ship) and meet 24 crew made up of 3 Chinese crew, 18 Burmese crew, and 3 Filipino crew. All of the crew were happy, the captain and the crew has been very welcoming to our staffs.
6 June 2024 Mr. Piyamit Suksut and staffs of the Pastoral Care for Seafarers Section, Archdiocese of Bangkok, went out to visit ships along with the Mission of Seafarers team in the No.33 Wharf, Phra Samut Chedi, and meet with ship crews from Myanmar, The Philippines, Indonesia, and China. The crew were happy, have good working conditions, the captain and the crew has been very welcoming to our staffs.
10 June 2024 Mr. Piyamit Suksut and staffs of the Pastoral Care for Seafarers Section, Archdiocese of Bangkok, visited ships in the No.23 and No.21B dock at Phra Pradaeng harbor and meet with ship crews from Myanmar, Korea, Indonesia, and The Philippines. The crew were happy and were very welcoming of our staffs, we also visited the SOHOH cargo ship which had a fire in the engine room on the 8 June 2024, the crew was fine and uninjured.
11 June 2024 Mr. Piyamit Suksut and staffs of the Pastoral Care for Seafarers Section, Archdiocese of Bangkok, visited the ships in the No.23B dock at Phra Pradaeng harbor and boarded the M/V FONG KUO No.819 (Reefer ship) and meet 24 crew made up of 20 Burmese and 4 Filipino. The crew were happy and were very welcoming to our staffs.
13 June 2024 Mr. Piyamit Suksut and staffs of the Pastoral Care for Seafarers Section, Archdiocese of Bangkok, went out to visit ships along with the Mission of Seafarers team in the No.27A dock and boarded the M/V SEIN PRINCESS (Reefer ship) and meet 20 crew made up of 15 Indonesian, 3 Korean, and 2 Filipino. The crew were happy, we also bring Prayer book and leaflets to them, and they were very welcoming to our staffs.
18 June 2024 Mr. Piyamit Suksut and staffs of the Pastoral Care for Seafarers Section, Archdiocese of Bangkok, visited ships in the No.23C and No.23B dock at Phra Pradaeng harbor and boarded the M/V LIAOYU REEFER 1 (Reefer ship) and meet 23 crew made up of 18 Chinese and 5 Indonesian. The Captain were interest about our leaflets and the staffs took some pictures with him. We also boarded the M/V HIKARI 1 (Reefer ship) and meet with the 20 Filipino crew, they were very welcoming to our staffs.
20 June 2024 Mr. Piyamit Suksut and staffs of the Pastoral Care for Seafarers Section, Archdiocese of Bangkok, visited ships in the No.23D dock at Phra Pradaeng harbor and boarded the M/V HARU (Reefer ship) and meet 23 crew made up of 9 Chinese, 6 Indonesian, 6 Filipino, and 2 Burmese. The crew were happy, and were very welcoming to our staffs.
25 June 2024 Mr. Piyamit Suksut and staffs of the Pastoral Care for Seafarers Section, Archdiocese of Bangkok, visited ships in the No.23D and No.21A dock at Phra Pradaeng harbor and boarded the M/V KATAH (Reefer ship) and meet 19 crew made up of 5 Korean and 14 Indonesian as well as the M/V SEIN PHOENIX (Reefer ship) with 21 crew made up of 3 Korean, 16 Indonesian, and 2 Filipino. The crew were happy, and were very welcoming to our staffs.
We also gave special thanks to the ship crew for bring food and other necessity to people all around the world on the occasion of the Day of the Seafarer (25/6/2024).
27 June 2024 Mr. Piyamit Suksut and staffs of the Pastoral Care for Seafarers Section, Archdiocese of Bangkok, went out to visit ships along with the Mission of Seafarers team in the No.27A dock at the Rat Burana harbor and boarded the M/V CHERRY STAR (Reefer ship) and meet with 20 crew made up of 16 Indonesian, 1 Burmese, and 3 Korean. The crew were happy, and were very welcoming to our staffs.
